Summer Vacation

I’ve been doing SCP almost continuously for over four years now. I really enjoy making comics and putting them on the internet, but lately it has become a bit of a chore. When I sit down to write new material, I find myself repeating old jokes, or coming up with strips that I don’t really like. I think that it’s time for a break.

I’m not going to work on SCP for the rest of the summer. When I come back in the fall, I’m going to re-launch the site with a new focus. I’ve learned a lot since I started this thing, and I’d like to start over with a clean slate. I’m leaning towards not doing the weekly gag thing anymore – instead I think I’d like to do a series of graphic novellas. I’ll probably keep SCP alive and update it in-between stories.

Thank you all for reading my work, and for coming back week after week. I hope that you’ll come back in the fall! I’ll be posting updated and concept art here in the meantime, so stay tuned to the RSS feed if you want to see what SCP will become.

First Shank video

I’m busy colouring this week’s SCP, but I have some other work to show you all in the meantime:

The first preview video for Shank has been posted over at the Klei website. I’ve been working on this game since January, focusing on the animation system and the gameplay mechanics.

I’m sure we’ll be posting more as the game develops – maybe the next video will show off the enemy AI that I have to write this week!
