I would have applied if not for my near-sightedness. (And for the fact that watching the Challenger explosion on TV when I was six years old made me forever terrified of space flight.)

I think my brother’s applying for that. In 1993 (I think), he went to Taiwan for the international science fair, and won second place in his division. He’s been studying physics and whatnot ever since.
