Hm… You should have put in the link for the contest, for the easiness.

I’d like to add a note here, I find it a little unfair/ and a slight disadvantage to allow each contestant to have multiple entries. Only two people did this, and that is used against the other people that put their efforts in, I think that David and Karl should either be disqualified or forced to choose the one comic to take on the contest. No where was it specified that people could enter more than one comic, but everyone assumes when enter a contest they get only one entry. It’s nice they did the work and all, but that doesn’t mean they should have the benefit and advantage over others.

The multiple entries allowed thing also bugs me.. this is about quality, not quantity. One comic only entry policy plz =\

I guess I should have been more clear when setting out the rules for the contest. Personally, I don’t think that having multiple entries necessarily gives someone an advantage. One good strip beats two not-so-good strips. This being the internet and all, if someone wanted to have multiple entries, they could have just made sock puppets to get them all in there (although I guess their votes wouldn’t be cumulative that way).
Since I didn’t disallow multiple entries in the beginning, I can’t really change that policy now. I’ll keep these concerns in mind the next time, though.

It’s too late for this now, but perhaps next time the rules can allow multiple entries, but count the votes for each entry separately. In this case, people would be highly discouraged from making multiple comics, since they’d just end up spreading out their votes. Instead, they would be encouraged to spend their time instead on one high quality comic.
Anyway I apologize for the confusion caused by my submitting three different entries; I didn’t mean to in the beginning, but I kept having more ideas and couldn’t help myself. Not that I’m blaming Kevin, but if the rules had provisions for the issue, I would have held back.
Either way, many thanks to Kevin for having a Creative Commons-licensed comic that allowed this whole thing in the first place. Both this feature and the star-rating system are brave and progressive, I think.
