Its like the Magic School Bus gone terribly, terribly wrong!

  3. DM

Oh man, you do NOT want to get all up in some cytoplasm.

  4. Shou

Nope, nope… Looks like his skeletal arm ruptured the wall again.
    How DARE he?
(Is it desolving the bone, too? That’s beyiond awesome!)

  5. Bob

Maybe he wouldn’t rupture the cell walls so much if he stopped poking them with sharp objects.

  6. Tomical

Actually, gravity on the cell would cause it to be no thicker then a piece of paper. In fact, a lot of small things made giant wouldn’t work in real life because of gravity. For example, giant ants would become giant puddles of goo within seconds. This is sad, I know. I was heartbroken when I found out.

I think they shrunk themselves, not made the cell bigger…

  8. abeo

Shrinking yourself is even more ridiculous than artificially increasing something’s size. Either you reduce the number of atoms in your body to such an extent that it can no longer carry out its functions efficiently or at all, especially brain functions, or you shrink the size o your atoms (not really at all possible) and then oxygen is suddenly too large for you to breath.

  9. Tephlon

Gord: Still wouldn’t work though. If their mass stayed the same they would drill a hole in the floor.

  10. Tephlon

    Damn, we’re killing off catgirls here…. :-)

I once DMed a campaign in which the PCs were trapped in a post-nuclear Ontario. The ending involved a giant, sapient, talking cell laying waste to Toronto.

It’d be a hell of a way to teach cellular anatomy in high-school Bio is all I’m sayin’.

  12. Lone

This is obviously possible. Didn’t any of you read/watch Magic School Bus? Mrs. Frizzle and her really weird pants can shrink down classrooms of people.

  13. abeo

That is obviously only because her bus is really a trans-dimensional portal. Which is only possible because it exists in an alternate reality in which such a thing is possible.

does everyone else see the big green vagina in the third pane?
