Seller’s Market
By cutting out some of the earlier, stinkier comics and going with a different printer, I’ve managed to get the printing costs for the book down to just under 12 bucks! I think that shipping to North America will only be a couple of bucks. That means that we’re looking at a total cost of less than $20!
If everything goes according to plan, we should have things ready for sale in a couple of weeks. I have to make a cover, and I want to see printed proofs before they go out to customers.
As for extras, I’ve put in a couple of non-scp drawings, and included the 3-page short story “the visit” that originally ran in the first transplanthology.
Also, make sure you fill out the latest poll, so that I know how lavish of a retirement I should be planning.

Cash for Souls?

Yeah, I think its the devil stealing souls… only he doesn’t get that robots are soulless machines. I guess…

Hehe, the devil behind the times, behind a desk, buying robots’ souls. I like it.

Silly devil. Robots don’t have souls! (~ what a useless comment. I think your drawing style is getting much better.)

Any idea what the shipping costs will be to the UK? You’ve got an international fan-base and we need info!

Reminds me of an exchange in the webcomic Freefall. When Sam finds out that his new aquaintance is a bible salesman who specializes in selling religious texts to robots, he wonders out loud what they want them for. ‘”Robots don’t have souls… do they?”
And the bible guy replies, “I think that’s what they are trying to find out!”

I *think* that the shipping costs to the UK will be about 4-5 bucks. It’s hard to say exactly until I have the book submitted, but similarly sized books on the site cost about that much to ship.

Oh, under $20?
Sweet!
Will you have all the copies at your house? And then ship them out from there, or would it be shipped through the publisher?
Because if they are at your house i’m going to buy mine straight from you
And get an autograph.
and in the year 2167, it’ll be worth thousands of dollars.

I just have to say I love the demon with lots of eyes. He’s hilarious.

this was okay.. but it’s hard to believe the devil is that out of it with his nice suit and all. it’s not like the devil didn’t watch the jetsons. lord knows he’s into hanna-barbera cartoons. of course his hole-in-the-wall certainly lends to an old-school feel.
i personally would have preferred that it was the robots who were dejected having become sentient and having to deal with ambiguity regarding whether or not they can have souls despite being able to think.

I’m just glad that the silly thick-eyebrow robot isn’t there.

Hee hee! Maybe they shouldn’t tell him after all. I’d hate to see Satan angry and cheated.
