Reminds me of an old episode of the Simpson’s where the citizens of Springfield form an angry mob and destroy all technology.
At one point they burn down a AI laboratory and one of the robots runs out of the building, on fire, waving it’s arms and screaming, “WHY! Why was I programed to feel pain?!?”
