It’s like those kids who get UPC symbols on their arms… right about where the numbers went on prisoners in Nazi Germany

I hear some kids in Poland are getting serial number tattoos on their forearms.
If you’re too young to know what that means, be thankful.

I think only the children who were alive during the war are alive now, so mostly no-one has any first-hand experience. Yeah.

  5. Cartoono

1942-2008 = 66 years. a twenty year old in Auschwitz’s would be 86 now. If your jewish and second or first generation american, most likely you have relatives that had tattoos

Once again, I truly appreciate the tragic hilarity of it… bitter-sweet.

While I love almost every single comic I’ve read so far (I just found this webcomic tonight, too), I really can’t find too much humour in this one. I guess it just hits too close to home, as the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor… it’s sad that people in Poland don’t know enough about their own history or don’t respect it and are tattooing themselves with numbers on their forearms…

Well, sure this lad - or piglet, whatever - would grow up to be a rebel, considering his father line of work. Just check the strip “Rib Shack” under the tag “Pigs” to refresh your memory.
