[...] This one currently has no introduction on Jack’s Big List O’ Tracts. I’m not sure what significance there is to that, if any. So I’ll make up my own, based on a brief skim-through: Dinosaurs were really magical dragons! They survived the Great Flood by riding on Noah’s Ark, only to be hunted into extinction by Appalachian yokels. Only Jesus can save you from science! Who are you going to trust: God or worshipers of devil-strewn fossils? [...]

Though it might not have been intentional, this has a lot of religious references.
September 28th, 2007 at 8:28 am
….you don’t think the religious references were intentional?!

They were most obviously intentional…

I’m conflicted about this one… I think it makes its point a little too hard. I think it’s the “near future” in the caption that does it - bit alarmist, don’t you think?

Not really, have you looked at who’s trying to run our country, asking if you believe in dinosaurs was a damn debate question! and most of them said no!!!

Lol, it is the t-rex… and yet he lives on.
Maybe it was God who put the dinosaur bones there as a test, according to many he has done worse things (Cough Cough kill your son Abraham cough cough)

(Cough Cough So that Isaac’s children could utterly destroy the men, women, and children of the Amalekites. And the cows, too. The cows had to go. Cough Cough)

Ah, but that was Isaac, who did that, not God.
God gives us free will, we are not puppets. He gave Isaac life, and Isaac used it to have children who killed people. That was Isaac’s choice. God isn’t responsible.

If I had the choice to have kids who killed a lot of people…I’d only take that path if the kids were happy while they did it.

Well people are always disappointed when given a promise about beer and then get denied the Beer.

What I like best about these comics is that while they are funny, they are also appalling, or horrifying, or disturbing.
This one does all three. This may be my favorite so far. Well done.

I know people like this.
“Well evolution is your opinion. We can’t argue about opinion.”
“No, it’s not an opinion if I can provide several thousand transitional fossils, over a dozen independent dating methods that DON’T contradict each other, actual tests of animals that have changed over the last hundred years- both in the lab and nature- and the support of hundreds of thousands of biologists against a few hundred who signed a document saying they weren’t totally sure. Also, every one of your arguments is based on completely misunderstanding science. The sun provides energy etc.”
“. . . that’s your opinion.”
Stupid america. If Dawkins weren’t such an ass about being right and average people such gracious retards about being wrong we’d be more over this by now.

Christians are hypocritical when they complain about nihilism, relativism, anarchism, & postmodernism, because they are the most nihilistic, relativistic, anarchic, & postmodern of anyone. They believe there is no purpose, meaning, morals, or values to life, other than Jehovah’s will - not a pleasant worldview. Religion is a zero-player game. God is non-interactive & infinitely scarce. Christians are the most depressed, joyless, & psychologically disturbed & distressed (listen to them complain) of anyone. I think the best way to pull a believer out of the preacher’s grasp is to get them to believe in truth & human knowledge. End rant… (sorry)
