I don’t get the point of this one. There doesn’t seem to be a joke, or anything. The guy likes these cookies so much he abandons all else… okay, and? And why? Did I miss something?
It maybe is a commentary on drugs? The first panel perhaps references the (largely fictional) practice of drug dealers giving potential customers a free sample in hopes of getting them addicted? I don’t know.
This is very much alike ‘The Stuff’, a b-movie from the eighties. If you haven’t seen it you should, one lick is never enough of the stuff… and then you become a stuff zombie.
It’s a commentary on addiction. Not just drug addiction, but any addiction. This is why too much of a good thing can be so horribly tragic. It begins to take more and more of that good thing to make it still seem good, which means you need to devote more and more of your life to acquiring that good thing… Okay, I’m just stating the obvious now.

I think this might be my favorite. I don’t know why, but that last panel sends me into tremors of laughter every time I read it.
